Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow

It’s been quite some time since I’ve added some artwork here.

I’ve decided that I’m going back to Disney World this October. That being said, I can’t get my mind off it. Disney world has always been the ultimate escape for me. A truly magical place that is like no other.

EPCOT, one of the 4 parks WDW offers, has grown on me immensely in my adult years. It’s a park full of culture, technology, and education. Because of that…it’s a park many children refer to as “boring”. But when you grow to appreciate it…it becomes a place that gives you just as much excitement as any other park.

I made this poster in the style of a retro 80’s type…uh…poster. The park opened in 1982…and I would always joke that EPCOT was “The future…if it were 1982.”

Took my awhile to get those creases/scratches looking decent. I’ve been in a space mood as of late. My new comic strip should be up late this week! Excelsior!

Landscapes of IMAGINATION

So I’ve been busy with muh job doing game art related activities and whatnot and figured I’d share some concept art I did FOR MYSELF.

Totally not for a game or anything of that matter. I did them for, uh, fun. Yeah, that’s right…fun. “I’m” not going in this direction with this…project…so I figured I’d upload some pieces that will seemingly not see the light of day.

I wanted to do some fantasy related landscapes. So let me transport you into the realm of

FANTASY

Once again these were not done for a game or anything similar that’s for sure…

I had a lot of fun doing these. They’re all original work. Everything was painted up digitally. I mean, I looked at some resources for textures and whatnot…but still everything’s done by hand. Kinda disappointed this is not the direction I’m going but I always add too much realism in my projects. So a more cutesy cartoonish route I go.

Sarlacc Snack

Spent the night making an entry for a Star Wars Dark Side contest being held on WeLoveFine.com.

You can have up to 5 entries…so here’s my first one: Boba Fett.

I hand drew Boba and scanned him into photoshop to add the color and “splatter” effect. I also submitted it to 3 or 4 shirt design websites because these wouldn’t make a bad shirt. If those sites stop with the excessive amout of half assed Doctor Who and Adventure Time parody designs maybe they can make way for some variety. But I doubt they will.

Anyway, I think there’s a voting aspect to the design so I’ll update when it’s on the website also.
