Pretty self explanatory. I’m trying to find unique ways of coloring instead of just coloring and shading the way things are supposed to look according to style. I thought wouldn’t it be cool if a Mexican wrestler went around and wrestled monsters in his spare time? Didn’t turn out quite the way I wanted it to. I have been drawing more for the exercise rather then creating strong work lately. And that’s okay…as long as it leads up to something strong. I know this whole “dirty scratched and rusted” look is my style but I’m wondering if I should drop it for a bit. I use it because I don’t find my line work very clean and I think it adds to my drawings. We shall see.
Had a rough night. Just drawing for fun here. Bella Lugosi’s Dracula is one of my favorite horror movies. Thought I’d show some Drac’ love. Finished it right before the sun came up interestingly enough. Still trying to hit the right marks and make a really solid piece. Haven’t been able to do that in awhile. Instead I’m whipping out these mediocre pieces. Like I said…rough night.
I drew this tonight. It was hand drawn for the most part. Except for the background and colors. That’s Photoshop. I was in a ninja mood. I was going to draw a dead cowboy. Then I thought of Skull Cowboy. Then I thought of the deleted scenes from The Crow of Skull Cowboy. Then I thought of Brandon Lee. Then I thought of Bruce Lee. Then I thought of Kung Fu. Then I thought of Ninjas.
And then I did this. That’s really all there is to it.
