Hey there! I’ve been busy lately. I have an art show next weekend that I’m excited about. Found some time this morning to draw a dying red astronaut. I think a red astronaut is becoming the unofficial mascot for this site. But I changed things up with some simple animation.
It’s not great but it’s a start for an idea I have. I can only improve from here.
I’ll be posting my work from the art show next week. I have some pieces I’m pretty proud of and eager to share!
Today I wanted to draw a picture with a good range of value from dark darks to light lights! I’ve also been wanting to draw Superman for quite some time. So I went ahead and did (you guessed it) a value study of Superman. Took about 3 hours.
That’s going to be all for this week.
I tried to step my game up today with not so great results. I didn’t quite like how this turned out. I’ve been wanted to draw Luke Skywalker for months but I was afraid because Mark Hamill just has a hard likeness to capture. And the same goes for Carrie Fisher. But the Force was with me and I finished the drawing (though I struggled a bit). All in all though I’m proud of it.
That about does it. Gonna take some time off from drawing (but not too long I assure you).
