I’m not a big fan of drawing myself but sometimes I just want to draw a real person and I only have myself and a mirror. I also figured I can make this a yearly thing to see if I improve. I gathered previous self portraits (I can only find 2) and compared. I drew them all the same: On tan cardboard with a dark colored pencil and a white colored pencil. Then I would scan them in and play the with brightness levels.
Seems like a have a young Steve Zissou look going on and my t-shirt looks like I jacket but I feel it looks enough like me and I’m happy with it.
