The Rockford Artcade

I’m very proud to say that all of my arts sold at the video game themed art show this weekend! That makes the second show in a row for me where I’m able to leave empty handed (literally not financially).

SAMUS
“Samus Supreme” was the last to sell. As was my Samus piece from last year.
Rocekteer2312
Rocketeer: Game Over was probably my favorite of the 4 mostly because I wanted to make it for 6 years or so.
MEGAMAN
“Rockman City” didn’t turn out exactly how I wanted but I can’t complain.
Gaiden
“Gaiden” because I like ninjas.

Another awesome show. Fantastic artists involved. I was glad to be a part of it.

Regards,

Ready Player 2!

What happens when you select Mario instead of Luigi? Simple. Luigi waits inside some sort of nightmarish limbo realm in a coma like state. When Mario loses a life…Luigi finally gets his time to stomp goombas.

Done on a torn out piece of cardboard with colored pencils. It was scanned in, touched up a bit, and printed on canvas. It shall be one of my 6 arts for sale at Art.Cade this fall!

Donkey Kong Klassic!

Hey long time no post? It’s crazy how much can change in just 2 months (for the better!). I’m 6 weeks into a new job as a lead production artist for a pretty great graphic design company. I got a great weekend coming up full of wrestling and a comic con. And now another art show is right around the corner! This was one I created tonight.

I have 2 canvas prints of a Scorpion and Subzero piece. I also created a Mega Man “blue print” that I’m pretty proud. And also a pretty shitty Samus print. I created this one tonight (along with 2 other failures). I’m going to print it on canvas. So that 5 pieces for the show. And that’s enough.

I went for a retro arcade look.I wanted to make it really simple and graphical. My other pieces are very illustration heavy so I tried something simpler with this.
