It’s been a while since I’ve drawn like this. I’ve been preoccupied with drawing comics, writing, and moving. But I love drawing people in profiles and found a great reference of Jack Nicholson from “Chinatown”. I’m not too thrilled how it turned out, but that’s because it takes some time to get back into the swing of things.
It’s been a while since I’ve done another watercolor woman. I figured it was that time again. This makes number 7 in the series. I like doing these because they’re minimal in composition and execution. From the linework to the colors. I’m one of those people that have to put something everywhere and with these I know they’ll look better if I don’t. So they become therapeutic in a way.
I may have outgrown playing with action figures, but I realized I pretty much do the same concept of “playing” except with drawing. I distinctly remember sitting in my grandmother’s living room and having my Power Rangers Megazord battle Hulk Hogan resulting in the loser falling down the stairs. And you could tell it was fantasy because Hogan always put that Megazord over, brother.
