I was lucky enough to come across NECA’s Super Shredder action figure last week. Not only is it ridiculous that we’re getting toys of such niche interests but Shredder is so perfect that he works as a great drawing reference. And this was the result.
This is the first Kevin Nash action figure I’ve bought since 1998. And even though he has, like, 2 minutes of screen time…Super Shredder’s design is legendary cheese. I strayed away from my thin linework and went back to my heavy lines and shadows.
All in all, I had a fun time drawing him. I’ve been creatively bankrupt lately, so it was nice to draw something…and leave it to me to make it Ninja Turtles related. Prints are available at my store. But you probably already knew that. Cowabunga.
