“To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.”
Woah, there, Mr. Conan. Maybe not so much in my case. How about To draw your comics, to see them read before you, and to hear the support from your people. That’s more like it. I came up with a little Conan monologue during a daily daydream. I jotted it down on a post it note and decided to draw a comic to go with it. I always wanted a film of an “Old King Conan”. Grey, weathered, and scarred. A young fresh group of violent barbarians make their way across the land and decide to pillage another kingdom. Except they don’t know who is king just yet. They find out the hard way. You can’t take THE BARBARIAN out of the king.
This was my project for the week. I worked on it for 3 days. About 3-4 hours each day. I tried to mimc the old Marvel Conan comics, but with my own flair. I liked one of my panels so much I decided to sell a shirt of it. It could be available for 2 days…or 2 months. Who knows when they’ll find what reason my art “violates”.
